PeakGlowUp Pty Ltd (ABN 75 700 663 494, “PeakGlowUp”, “we”, “us”) runs a vetted directory and booking platform for local services in Australia, and provides marketing services to the businesses listed on it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
From customers who use the site or make a booking:
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone.
- Booking details: the business, service, time, and any notes you add.
- Reviews you write after a verified visit.
- Device and usage data: pages viewed, approximate location, and how you arrived (including advertising links such as utm, fbclid and gclid).
From businesses that apply or partner with us:
- Business and contact details, and the documents we check during vetting (licence, insurance, pricing).
- Staff, service and booking information you enter into your portal.
- Billing details for the packages you buy.
How we use it
- To take a booking and pass it to the business you chose, and to send confirmations and reminders.
- To verify businesses before they go live and keep the directory honest.
- To run the marketing and customer service that partner businesses pay us for.
- To measure and improve the product, and to keep it secure.
- To contact you about your bookings, and about offers only where you have not opted out.
Who we share it with
We share a booking with the business you book with, since they provide the service. We use trusted providers to run the platform: hosting and database, transactional email, and mapping. For partner businesses we also operate advertising accounts on their behalf on platforms such as Meta and Google. We do not sell your personal information.
Where your data is stored
Our servers and some providers are located outside Australia, including in Singapore. By using PeakGlowUp you consent to your information being stored and processed overseas by us and our providers, who are required to protect it to a comparable standard.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and attribute bookings to the campaign that produced them. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may stop working.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete your account and personal information, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Opt out of marketing at any time using the link in the message or by emailing us.
Keeping it safe
We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit, and retention limits, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
